Time is precious and documentation is painstaking. Python and SQL automation makes some GIS tasks easier, faster, or more accurate, while providing a level of documentation via the programming code. The presentation will demonstrate working with Python and SQL using OGR in the Geospatial Data Abstraction Library (GDAL) to create, manipulate, analyze, and visualize data. As well as working with file formats ranging from PostGIS, ESRI file geodatabases, and web feature services.
